Roundup: February 2025 empties

Hello everyone,

It’s my second round of empties for 2025! I have to say, Project Pan is going really well – I have finally managed to finish some full sized products! 🙂

This is going to sound weird to say, but I’m actually really proud that I resisted the urge to go out and buy more products. Rare Beauty released a liquid contour that I am dying to try, but I’ve had enough self control to stay away from Sephora. If they release a liquid bronzer I think I’d be done for!

Anyway! Here’s the products I managed to finish below:

Tarte Sculpt Tape Contour – Cool Bronze

I absolutely LOVE this bronzer! The colour really complimented my skin and I found it very easy to apply. I didn’t need much for it to show on my skin and it blends so so well and gives more of a natural finish. The only downside is that I felt like there wasn’t a lot of product in there and struggled to get it out towards the end.

Verdict: Rebuy

Chanel L’huile Anti Pollution Cleansing Oil

I first tried this when I was invited to try Chanel’s new skincare line at the time. I was SO impressed with how easily it removedit my makeup that I bought it on the spot. I do think it’s a really good price for a high end product because it has lasted me for ages. I wear a full face of makeup most days and it’s brilliant at getting it all off without having to rub hard or irritate my eyes.

Verdict: Rebuy

Jimmy Choo Blossom Eau de Parfumerie

I’ve had this perfume for a very long time and it’s taken me a while to finally finish it. I do like the scent very much; it’s sweet and light, but it doesn’t last very long on me. I found I had to use a lot of it to get it to last.

Verdict: No buy

MAC Love Me Lipstick #404 Tres Blase

It took me forever to find a shade of lipstick that I felt suited me. The colour is a nice shade of peachy pink with a nice silky and creamy feeling on my lips. The finish is really lovely and does last a while. Touching up is pretty simple too.

Verdict: Rebuy (if I can find it – it’s been discontinued!)

Clarins Hydra Essential Crème desalterante

This moisturiser was a sample but it was quite nice. I liked the texture; it was light, it didn’t leave a sticky residue and it sat well under my makeup. The only thing is that if I rubbed my face after it’s been on for a while, I found it pilled on me.

Verdict: No buy

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel

I love how this makes my face feel. It smooths out my complexion and brightens my skin. Best of all – it doesn’t leave a sticky residue! It’s also a very quick and easy treatment, taking less than 5 minutes to complete. They are a bit dear but they are actually a similar price to some face masks, so it’s actually not bad value.

Verdict: Rebuy

Body Shop Mango Body Butter

A Christmas gift that has lasted a good couple of months. It’s got a really nice smell – more like a creamy mango than a tangy mango. The butter was nice on my skin too – thick, hydrating, and not too sticky to the touch. But I have so many body creams to compare it to that I do have better ones.

Verdict: No buy

By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder (mini)

OMG – this powder is amazing! I only put it under my eyes but I find that it doesn’t irritate my eyes and it sets really well without caking or doesn’t emphasise the wrinkles under eyes. It’s translucent so it doesn’t change the colour of my foundation. I feel like this is a mature-age friendly powder that is great if you have dry skin.

Verdict: Rebuy

And that’s that for this month’s round up! As you can see, a bit more variety with my empties this month!

Are you doing Project Pan too? I’d love to know how you’re going!

Much love,
